Helping my Mum unpack her groceries. Launceston Tasmainia.
I left home at 18 years of age to join the Royal Australian Air Force as a Supply Officer. I graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. The Air Force provided me with many years of travel around Australia and overseas. I have met many interesting people and been to remote and unusual places. More recently, I have worked as a consultant for various consulting firms and established a public awareness program for the Air Force as a Reservist. After two years adapting to being a mother of four, I now work part-time as a project manager for Queensland's First World War Centenary Commemorative program.
I realise now, how fortunate I have been to have these experiences because they are invaluable sources of material to build places, characters, and events in my writing.

My children, my husband, and my extended family (including my closest friends) are a wealth of inspiration for my stories. I love naming my characters after members of my family, especially my Grandparents, most of whom passed before I was born.
